Brittney Sy

Clinical Assessor

Brittney Sy (she/her) is a fifth-year counseling psychology PhD student at Fordham University. She is working with CAPPS as an extern and assessor. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Boston University. She has previous clinical experience working at Cambridge Eating Disorder Center, McLean Hospital’s in-patient PTSD and dissociative identity disorder unit, Massachusetts General Hospital’s Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness, a private practice that specializes in OCD and anxiety disorders, and Northwell/Zucker Hillside Hospital’s PTSD track. 

 

Brittney is passionate about destigmatizing mental health treatment within AAPI folx and communities of color, and has a special interest in treating PTSD, OCD, and perfectionism. At CAPPS, she aims to utilize her assessment skills to preemptively identify high-risk symptoms and provide useful psychoeducation and therapeutic resources. Outside of her work, Brittney loves watching anime and doing Zumba.
