Dylan Hughes

Clinical Assessor

Dylan Hughes, B.Sc., is a Clinical Assessor at the CAPPS Clinic. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2018 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at UCLA.


Dylan brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to his role, with significant experience in neuroscience research and a strong academic foundation in psychology. His research background provides him with a deep understanding of the brain and its impact on mental health, which he integrates into his patient care.


Driven by a passion for working with young people experiencing distressing thoughts and feelings, Dylan is committed to delivering high-quality psychoeducation to his patients. He strives to validate, normalize, and reduce the stigma associated with their experiences, employing evidence-based practices grounded in both brain- and psychology-based models.


Outside of the clinic, Dylan enjoys climbing plastic rocks, relaxing in the UCLA botanical garden, and attending jazz clubs.
