Rhideeta Jalal, M.A.

Rhideeta Jalal is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Loma Linda University and a current extern in the Adolescent Serious Mental Illness Track at UCLA. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Psychology. Previously, she conducted research at the Semel Institute of Neuroscience at UCLA, focusing on identifying early biomarkers of neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically in autism spectrum disorders. 


Rhideeta has experience using neuroimaging techniques to examine the structural and functional development of the brain in children and adolescents. Her interests lie at the intersection of clinical research and neuroscience, with a particular focus on using multimodal neuroimaging methods, such as functional MRI and magnetic resonance spectroscopy, to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying social cognition impairments in neuropsychiatric disorders, such as early-onset psychosis.
