Haley Wang, C.Phil

Pre-Doctoral Psychology Intern
Haley is a dedicated Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at UCLA, completing her predoctoral internship at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. She earned her master’s degree from King’s College London and has developed expertise in clinical assessment and intervention with diverse populations. Haley’s research focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms in psychotic disorders, with particular emphasis on childhood trauma and brain connectivity patterns in early psychosis, featured by multiple first-author publications in Biological Psychiatry. 
 
Haley has gained expertise in the evaluation and treatment of psychosis, mood disorders, OCD, trauma, and neurodevelopmental disorders across a range of clinical settings, including inpatient units, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics. She has experience working with teens, adults, families, and couples, and values building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy and respect. Her approach to clinical assessment and treatment is integrative and thorough, employing evidence-based practices while remaining attentive to each client’s individual experiences, strengths, and cultural background. She draws on cognitive-behavioral, relational, and acceptance-based frameworks to inform collaborative treatment planning and address clients’ unique needs and goals. Outside of work, Haley enjoys reading, rock climbing, and spending time at dog parks with her dog Fern.
