Maks Giljen, M.A.
Clinical Assessor
Maks is a fourth-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at UCI, and a member of the LEAPS Team and PREVENT Lab. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2020 with a B.A. in Psychology. Before coming to UCI, Maks was a lab manager and research coordinator at Northwestern’s ADAPT Program. His program of research focuses on understanding how minority stress processes in sexual and gender minority and immigrant populations contribute to psychosis risk, as well as potential biases in assessment and care. He hopes to use his research to inform culturally sensitive assessment and intervention tools. Maks is currently a psychology extern at UCLA CAPPSand is excited to gain further assessment experience as part of this amazing team!
