Wendy is a clinical psychology intern in the Adolescent Serious Mental Illness Track at UCLA. She is completing her Ph.D. in clinical psychology in the San Diego State University/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program. Wendy received her Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology and Fine Arts from the University of Hong Kong in 2017 and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from San Diego State University in 2019. Clinically, Wendy is dedicated to providing evidence-based care to youth at risk for or experiencing early psychosis, as well as adults living chronically with schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Relatedly, Wendy’s research focuses on understanding the disturbances in cognitive and emotional processes in psychosis across the lifespan using tools of cognitive neuroscience, including electroencephalography (EEG) and event-related potential (ERP) techniques. In the long term, Wendy aspires to help promote quality mental health care and education globally, especially in lower-income countries.
